Here is what you can count on

  • First photo to last supplement

Claim support that does not quit after the adjuster leaves.

  • Your yard respected

Bushes covered, nails swept with a magnet, trash hauled off.

  • Pictures of everything

Each problem on the roof shot close, so nobody has to guess.

  • The whole system

Shingles, flashing, vents and gutters treated as one job.

  • Plain talk

What is wrong, what it costs, what happens next. In those words.

What Can We Do for Your Roof?

Got storm damage? A claim you are not sure about? A roof that is just plain worn out? Those three keep us busiest. Here is the full list.

How Does It Work? Four Steps.

  1. You call and tell us what happened

Hail last night? Brown ring overhead? Shingles in the grass? Say so, and we pick a daylight time to come look.

  2. We go up and take pictures

Slopes, flashing, vents, gutters, attic, the works. Anything wrong gets a picture. Down on the ground, we go through them with you in plain English.

  3. Quote, claim or both

You get an itemized price. If a storm did it, we put the photos and measurements together for your insurance file, stand up there with your adjuster and file supplements for anything missed.

  4. We build it and clean up

Old roof off, deck fixed, new roof on with flashing, vents and gutters handled together. Then we cover the cleanup: debris out, magnet sweep, walkaround with you.

Why Do Doraville Homeowners Call Us?

Short answer: we carry a storm claim all the way through, we take care of your property, and we look at the roof as one whole system instead of a pile of shingles.

  • Claim help that goes the distance

Plenty of roofers drop off a quote and disappear. We shoot the damage and tape-measure the roof, show up when your adjuster does and file supplements when the estimate comes in short. You stay in charge of the claim from start to finish. We just make sure the proof is there.

  • Your house and yard come first

Before tear-off, we cover your shrubs, beds and the bottom of the walls. Debris gets picked up every day. A magnetic sweeper runs over the lawn and driveway, and every scrap leaves in our trailer.

  • You see what we see

Each slope, flashing detail, vent and gutter gets checked and photographed, and so does the attic. Those pictures are yours. No taking our word for it.

  • One system, not loose parts

A roof is shingles, flashing, ventilation and gutters working together. If one part is wrong, the rest pay for it. So we plan and install them together, and the whole thing performs the way it should.

Where Do We Work? Doraville and Next Door.

Doraville sits on the north edge of DeKalb County, with Buford Highway running up the middle and I-285 cutting across the south side. Neighborhoods like Northwoods are full of mid-century brick ranches, many on their second or third roof, mixed in with newer homes and townhomes. We are a short drive from Chamblee and Brookhaven to the southwest, Tucker to the southeast, and Norcross and Peachtree Corners just over the Gwinnett line. Spring and summer storms throw hail, hard wind and broken limbs at all of these towns, and we answer the call in every one.

Older ranches, newer builds

A long, low ranch roof and a steep new two-story both get the same full inspection and the same care on build day.

Both sides of the county line

DeKalb or Gwinnett, the claim paperwork and the roof work go the same way.

One number to remember

Tucker, Norcross or Dunwoody, (770) 249-5427 gets you the same people every time.

Storm Came Through. Should You File?

Do not guess. Get the roof looked at first. You will know what damage is up there, how bad it is and whether a claim makes sense before you ever pick up the phone with your insurer.

What Do People Ask Us Most?

Here are the questions that come up on nearly every job, answered straight.

How does a roof insurance claim actually go, start to finish?

First, the roof gets inspected and the damage documented. Then you report the claim to your insurer, and they send an adjuster to look at the roof, ideally with your roofer there. The insurer writes an estimate, missed items get added through supplements, the work is done and the final paperwork goes back to close it out.

Will I have to pay part of the cost myself?

Yes, in most cases. Policies spell out a share of each claim that comes out of your pocket, and that applies to roof claims like any other. We cannot cover it, reduce it or work around it, and nobody honest will offer to. We will make sure the rest of the claim is documented properly.

What goes into the price of a new roof?

Square footage and pitch, the number of old layers coming off, the count of rotten boards underneath and which material you pick. Lots of valleys, dormers and pipes add labor. We measure, take pictures and give you an itemized number so you can see where it all goes.

Can you just put new shingles over the old ones?

It can be done, but we do not recommend it. You cannot see or fix bad decking under an old layer, it adds weight, and the new shingles do not lie as flat or perform as well. Taking it down to the wood is the right way.

My roof is leaking right now. What should I do?

Move valuables away from the drip, set out a bucket and, if a ceiling bulges with water, poke a small hole to let it drain into the bucket. Take pictures of the damage inside. Then call us and we will set the first available daylight time to find and fix the source.

What is the difference between a manufacturer warranty and a workmanship warranty?

A manufacturer warranty covers problems with the materials themselves, like a defective shingle. A workmanship warranty covers how the roof was installed. Ours include a standard warranty on every job, and you can buy up to extra shingle and workmanship options for more coverage.

Why does attic ventilation matter for my roof and warranty?

An attic that traps heat and moisture ages shingles from the back side and invites rot in the wood. Good airflow in and out keeps the roof cooler and drier, so it lasts longer. Shingle warranty terms also generally expect proper ventilation, which is why we check and correct it on every new roof.

Fix it or replace it: how do I tell?

If the damage is in one spot and the rest of the roof is healthy, a repair usually makes sense. If damage is spread over several slopes, the shingles are brittle or the deck is soft, replacement is the smarter money. We will show you the pictures and tell you which.

Is a metal roof worth paying more for?

If you are staying a long time, often yes. You pay more on day one, but metal shrugs off wind, drains fast and barely needs looking after. If you might sell soon, architectural shingles usually make more sense. We can price both.

Who Are We?

Roofing Doraville is a roofing outfit that finishes what it starts. If you have storm damage, we document it, stand next to your adjuster and keep sending supplements until the estimate matches the roof. Then we build the new roof as one complete system and leave your yard cleaner than we found it.
